The Pandemic and the Single Girl
Yet another day has passed and it feels much like every other day over the last two months….but, we’re learning to make the most of self-isolation and social distancing.
Over the past few years, I’ve been wanting to work from home more often, and now that things have worked in that favor, I find myself cooking more (and freezing the leftovers for later!), meditating, and I’ve even found a few hours a week to take up a new musical instrument.
Trying to make the most of social distancing has posed some challenges, but we strive to stay social with applications like Skype and Zoom. Just last week I had tea with a friend via Zoom – and it was so nice to have company, if only for a little while.
The current social distancing won’t be in place for long – actually, in comparison to our lifespan, this is a blip on the radar. Soon we’ll be back to business as usual.
After all, it’s important to remember why we’re social distancing – it’s so when we get together again as friends, all of us will be there to enjoy each other’s company.
Hugs!
